Hand-Decorated Goose Egg Art

I make these pieces on natural goose eggshells, carefully cleaned and stabilised before decoration. With a chișiță, a traditional wax-writing tool, I apply coloured wax in fine lines and dots. The wax remains on the shell, creating the relief visible in the photographs.

Goose eggs have a smaller surface than ostrich eggs. This collection brings together geometric bands, floral motifs and flowing ornaments, in both colourful and more restrained palettes. I learned this craft in my family in Bucovina, Romania, and keep exploring new combinations as I work. Each piece is decorated by hand; I do not repeat finished designs identically.
